With February just a blink away, Valentine's Day is etched in the calendar. This day is all about love. Whether for someone special or yourself, it's the perfect excuse to take a moment to do something thoughtful. While we can debate the politics of consumerism for this Hallmark holiday, I never say no to a treat.
Homemade dinners, sweet cards and flowers never hurt in my opinion. Whether for your partner or a friend, I am sharing some of my Valentine faves and celebratory ideas anyone can partake in.
Dinner: To make at home or a restaurant surprise. Usually, you can find me cooking at home for Valentine's Day. Of course, my number one kitchen essential is my Kirty apron. I have been with my fiancé for many years and making food for us is truly my love language. I love how this holiday sometimes pushes me to go the extra mile and make something special. A dish he appreciates (and love making for myself) is Joe Beef's Lobster Spaghetti. This year, he has informed though that dinner has been booked and I told him do NOT tell me where we are going. I love a little surprise and encourage you, your partner or a bestie to lead this challenge.

Florals: Clichés are classics. When it comes to flowers, they of course are deeply personal. Definitely decorate or give flowers that you know your person will love. Although, it truly is a time for classic roses. To me, there's nothing more romantic. They make for a beautiful table setting either in a large vase or singularly in mini ones. Add a flare to your tablescape by including some of our cheeky coasters that will definitely ensure fruitful conversation.

Gifts: Treat someone to what they've been eyeing on. Sorry to be the one to say it, but I love a gift. Don't you?! I equally love giving them too so that must counterbalance everything. When my partner or a friend tells me they saw something they liked, or sends me a product on IG, I take note. I love seeing the insights of who shares our products on socials - our extra dirty, extra olives hat has been shared almost 10,000 times to date. It gives me such joy to think that our products are gifted to people who might have been eyeing them. If I had to recommend the best gifts right now, here are a few:
- To the future bride in your life, I love our white tonal crew romantically adorned with 'Bride' on it.
- To your martini loving partner or friend, our 'extra dirty, extra olives' sport crew is a unisex classic for those who enjoy the more savoury things in life.
- I love gifting things to myself, and when I ordered our 'pilates & martinis' sport crew, I truly gasped when I opened it. The embroidery is to die for and any pilates-enthusiast will deeply appreciate it.
