kirty's january check in

Happy new year friends! 2025 - we're here. One of my goals this year is to grow my connection with all of you. My exchanges with everyone, whether on dm or email, always make my day and I would love for you to get to know me better & what I'm up to.

For those who don't know, kirty is my nickname, and my real name is Crystal. Growing up, "Cris" or "Crissy" just never stuck. Everyone near and dear to me calls me kirty. Kirty Studio was a project I started almost 2 years ago while living in Los Angeles during a creative rut. My fiancé works in medicine and we ended up moving to LA - I honestly arrived without much going on and in need of change. I started making some designs for items I couldn't find for myself and long story short, here we are. Kirty Studio truly has been such a source of joy and I am indebted to everyone who has supported it.

A bit more on me - I'm 28, a scorpio, a martini lover & caviar-enthusiast. I rather be at a dinner party than a club. I heal through good conversation and appetizers at a cozy resto. I prefer escapism through a Real Housewives episode than any heavy-hitting shows. I crave anything glamorous, but absolutely need to be in bed by 11pm. Moody vibes over clean girl aesthetic all day long.

I wanted to share with you my list of "ins" for 2025 -

read more, scroll less
meaningful toasts
cookbook clubs
handwritten mail
winter seafood
more olive oil
dinner parties
vision boards
heirloom jewelry
long phone calls
more compliments
vintage glassware

You feel me? I hope this year brings us above anything health and happiness with priceless memories to be made.

Every year I make a vision board to capture intentions and manifestations. You can follow the exact tips in my "moodboarding" guidelines on how I make mine. Here is what I came up with for 2025:

I love not looking for sources of inspo (no Pinterest hating here!) and having images in magazines speak to me. The randomness of it all adds a layer of destiny. Regardless, make your vision board in any way that feels right to you.

I do have some other new years rituals that I enjoy doing in the beginning of Jan, like cooking more at home. Today I am making a Mississippi pot roast from NYT Cooking. I love staying cozy the first week too coming off the holiday rush. In an effort to be more active this year, I am wearing our new 'Pilates & Martinis' crewneck in ballet pink while I prepare myself for the week & year ahead.
Looking forward to writing more and connecting with all of you, cheers to 2025!
Best, xo kirty
